KindiLink is a play and learn based program for Aboriginal children who are not old enough to enrol at school.
Held at Brookman Primary School it aims to:
- Prepare children for school.
- Build family and school relationships.
- Improve attendance
- Improve educational outcomes for children.
Brookman Primary School and the Department of Education and Training will provide a teacher and Aboriginal Islander Education Officer, resources and funding for the program. Parents and Staff will work together to determine the emphasis of the program based on both children’s and family needs.
Who is KindiLink for and who attends?
KindiLink is for children from 0-3 years old. A parent or carer must attend with their child.
Where will KindiLink be based?
KindiLink will be based next to the Child and Parent Centre at Brookman Primary School on Brookman Avenue.
When will KindiLink run?
Our first session will commence on Monday 31st January, 2022 and continue to run each Monday and Tuesday during the school terms.
What time are the sessions?
8.45am – 11.45am
Who are the staff?
Each play and learn session will be supported by two school Staff Members.
